Prior to accepting any mandate, I assess the legal situation in detail, analyse the tasks to be performed, the foreseeable costs and the realistically achievable outcomes. Each case is handled through a holistic approach (for example, in a sale and purchase transaction, I do not only ensure the legal framework of the agreement, but also draw attention to further legal implications, such as inheritance-related aspects; in company formation or amendments to company data, I highlight the effects of the transaction in other areas of law as well). 

Before initiating any procedure, I provide my clients with a clear and realistic assessment of the expected outcome. This may also involve advising against initiating litigation where the potential result is not proportionate to the time, costs and effort involved, or, where the client is acting as a defendant, jointly seeking an amicable, compromise-based resolution of the dispute. 

Before engaging in litigation, I always explore and evaluate the possibility of an out-of-court, amicable settlement, as this approach can result in significant savings in time and costs. Moreover, a mutually negotiated agreement is often more advantageous for the parties than a binding decision imposed by a third party (such as a judge), as it allows them to actively represent their interests and decide which compromises they are willing to accept.
