I am firmly convinced that the legal profession does not only entail obligations toward the client, the courts, and the profession itself, but also a responsibility toward society and our community, especially in circumstances where legal education is not provided in educational institutions, and the Hungarian minority does not have access, in its mother tongue, to clear legal information in plain language.
I believe that the general legal education of communities is a guarantee of a civilized society, contributing to the strengthening of the rule of law and to the upholding of democratic values. This is not only aimed at the knowledge of rights, but in particular at the understanding of obligations, prohibitions, and everyday procedures, which constitutes an essential tool for the development of more aware, and thus stronger and more active communities and generations.
